Like Christmas

Okay so I know no one out there really cares, but my nerf bars for my truck came today, and my lift kit came yesterday. Before anyone asks, "why is he going to lift his truck?", well let me tell you. First, its not a huge redneck lift it is only 2 inches to level out the front and give me a little more ground clearance when I'm trying to get to those special fishing spots that I always forget how to get back to when anyone asks me where I go fishing, funny thing is how I always remember as soon as I leave my driveway. Second, the truck just looks tougher, and well thats just plain cool. I got the nerf bars so that my 5 foot 3.99999 inch wife can climb in without feeling like the truck was lifted.

So, I grew up on a farm where we just dove in and fixed everything that broke. So I figured I would just take a few minutes and put on my own nerf bars. I did a little home work first. I went to "you tube" where I found a 65 year old woman crawling under her truck and installed her own nerf bars in 20 minutes. So, I thought to myself "piece of cake". Well 2 hours later and no day light left I have nerf bars. Sorry the pics are so dark, but you should try putting in a bolt in complete darkness. I found another video where the lift kit takes 4-6 hours, I'm willing to start a pool to see if anyone can guess how long thats really going to take me. good thing I have Friday off... and Saturday.
