We would like to introduce the newest member of the family.
Eli Michael Nelson
Born at 12:47 a.m. on Sunday, July 4th, 2010
He was 7 lbs 11 oz and was 21 inches long
His hands are almost as big as Mike's are! Maybe he'll play the piano :)
Katie was so very kind to allow us to come. We could not ask to go through this process with a better person, because there isn't one. You're an angel, Katie.
We are so happy.

I have been very touched seeing how amazing you, Katie and all of your family and friends have handled the situation and have included each other in everything. In fact, it brought me to tears. What a special thing for little Eli. You and Mike are going to be amazing parents....I cannot even imagine how hard this is for Katie, but she must be comforted knowing he is going to two wonderful people! He's adorable and we are so happy for you. Can't wait to meet him!!! Anything you still need???

ReplyDeleteI met Katie when she was 3 months pregnant. I was weeks away from delivering my little boy and placing him. I want to tell you how much Katie loves and adores you, and as I watched her make the difficult and brave decision to place her little boy, I can attest to the fact that a light came about her when she chose you. The Lord had a hand in my placement, and in Katie's. Her strength and resolve through everything, and your love for her, brings me to tears. You are wonderful, and motherhood and fatherhood become you.
