Home again, home again, jiggety jog.
Yesterday was a long day. We got off the boat just fine, but getting to customs felt like being in a herd of cattle. It was complete chaos. We did finally get to customs and getting through was much easier than getting to it! At least the customs guy was friendly and sent us through with a smile.
A taxi took us back to Bellevue where we had left the van, and then it was a blur of reading, watching shows on the iPod, pit stops, food, talking, and sleeping. On the drive home, we went through Idaho's panhandle which was absolutely beautiful--especially Coeur d'lene Lake (I don't know how to spell it).
The trip home took us only 13 hours instead of 14 because we made fewer stops and never went 35 mph like we did on our way to Seattle! We pulled into our driveway around 1am Monday morning, were greeted by a very excited to see us dog, and went to bed because we were so tired and Mike had to be at work at 7:30 this morning. Now I get the pleasure of sorting through dirty laundry and unpacking--lucky me!
While the cruise and all the sights were incredibly fun, it was wonderful to be back at home, sleeping in our own bed. I'm thankful we have a home and bed to come home to!
